St. Petersburg photographer Cameron Watson had a bad case of wanderlust when he left the corporate world in exchange a life of travel and artistic experimentation. His photographs not only document his journey, but shed insight into his own frame of mind, as well as the expressions of his subjects.
Cameron’s subject matter ranges from architecture and urban scenes, to sassy portraits and candid moments. Working in both film and digital formats, he enjoys the process perhaps more than the outcome, and is constantly seeking new ways to manipulate his medium, such as scratching, bleaching, and painting over film and developing the nearly-destroyed negatives. The resulting compositions cause the viewer to ponder what, how, and perhaps even why they are looking at them! Check them out and buy a print for your inner traveler in our Art Market.
