Amazon nudging its way into every industry, and the arts are no exception.
The American Craft Council (ACC), a leading organization that supports craft artists by preserving, cultivating, and celebrating their communal heritage. This holiday season, the ACC has collaborated with Amazon’s new marketplace, Handmade, to increase their artists’ reach and of course, sales. The collaborative Maker Pop-Up Shop features a curated selection of ACC show artists for the 2018 holiday season.American Craft’s Executive Director Sarah Schultz explains, “Our decision to collaborate with Amazon Handmade sprung from our mission to provide ACC artists with a variety of economic opportunities and visibility by cultivating a broader audience that cares about high-quality, handmade work, the process of making it, and having a personal connection to the artist… What better way to share the value of their handmade items than on Amazon.”
The ACC hand selected more than 100 artists to sell their work through Amazon Handmade, with work, ranging from home décor and kitchen items to clothing, jewelry, toys, and paper goods.
